President / Principal Engineer

As Geopotential’s President and Principal engineer Mr. Arigovindan is responsible for upholding the firm’s vision and business planning. With over 18 years of experience in the fields of  Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Inspection and Testing, and Geothermal testing and design Mr. Arigovindan brings to the table innovative and diverse solutions for the client. With Professional Engineering licenses in Virginia, Maryland and Washington DC, Mr. Arigovindan can implement his years of experience and expertise to the entire DC metro region, which is a hot-spot for development.

Mr. Arigovindan is LEED AP BD+C certified and an NVSWCD Certified Soils Morphologist. This further diversifies his portfolio and the expertise that he brings to the client and our projects. In addition to this Mr. Arigovindan is also a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Society of Military Engineers, WACEL and ASTM. He is also the on the board for Loudoun County Economic Development.

Mr. Arigovindan incorporates sustainability on his projects, provides unique solutions for materials reuse, storm-water management practices, and understanding the implementation of the Chesapeake Bay Ordinance. He has designed Ground Source Heat Pumps (Geothermal) for many educational institutions in the DC metro area. He was the Program Manager for the Arlington County Public Schools between 2011 and 2013. He has worked closely with VDOT, MD-SHA and DDOT on many projects.

Mr. Arigovindan has great interest in community leadership, outreach and ongoing education and has established the GeoPotential Foundation which is an educational organization teaching younger generations in the fields of alternative energy and engineering.

Mr. Arigovindan has great interest in stocks and financial asset management, planning and taking motorcycle trips and a vast number of sports including badminton and golf.
